Frames Joinery

Recently another builder asked me to show what tools I had used & the method to cut the joinery on the frames.  Like most things if you have the right tools for the job it makes it easy.

Cutting a standard half lap on a sliding compound saw. Always be careful of your fingers .. :)

I dont know what you would call this joint , maybe a stopped half lap. Trimmer & chisel.
